GOJIGA IKE: 572 kWp

Located in Kasai, in the prefecture of Hyogo, Japan, this 572 kWp floating solar plant is installed on an irrigation reservoir with an area of 23,215 m² (2 ha).

The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 2,200 modules of 60 cells (260W JINKO standard modules). The total structure covers 28% of the water surface.

For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:

  • Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform
  • Design of the anchoring solution

Anchored at the bottom of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum 2.4 m depth and a same water level variation (2.4 m, as the pond can be affected by drought).

Gojiga Ike’s floating solar plant has been operational since January 2017 and generates green electricity to the local grid.
