HANAOKA IKE: 2,290 KWP

Located in the prefecture of Hyogo, Japan, this 2,290 kWp floating solar construction is built on an irrigation reservoir with an area of 44,027 m² (4.40 ha).

The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 6,107 floating solar panels of 72 cells (375W SUNTECH modules). The total structure covers 47% of the water surface.

For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:

  • Project development
  • Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform
  • Design of the anchoring solution
  • Construction & Procurement
  • Financing
  • O&M

Anchored at the bottom of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum 6.45 m depth and a same water level variation (6.45 m).

Hanaoka Ike’s floating solar installation has been operational since March 2020.
