HIGASHI OTA: 2,435 KWP

Located in the prefecture of Kagawa, Japan, this 2,435 kWp floating solar construction is built on an irrigation reservoir with an area of 71,442 m² (7.1 ha).

The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 9,020 floating solar panels of 60 cells (270W KYOCERA modules). The total structure covers 29% of the water surface.

For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:

  • Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform

Anchored at the bottom of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum 28 m depth and a 8.65 m water level variation.

Higashi Ota’s floating solar installation has been operational since July 2018.
