HIKUNI IKE: 1,308 kWp

Located in Hyogo prefecture, Japan, this 1,308 kWp floating solar power plant installed on an irrigation pond with an area of 28,101 m² (2.8 ha).

The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 3,492 PV modules of 72 cells (365W LERRI SOLAR standard modules). The total structure covers 43% of the water surface.

For this project, Ciel & Terre operated as an IPP (Independent Power Producer) and project developer, supervising all the project development, and the engineering and construction of the floating PV structure and the anchorage. Our scope included:

  • Management of project development
  • Financing of the project
  • Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform
  • Design, supply and installation of the anchoring solution
  • Operation and maintenance of the farm

Hikuni Ike’s floating solar plant has been operational since September 2019 and generates green electricity to the local grid. This is the 12th project Ciel & Terre developed as an IPP in Japan.
