IWANO IKE: 2,596 kWp

Located in the prefecture of Okayama, Japan, this 2,596 kWp floating solar plant is installed on an irrigation reservoir with an area of 48,747 m² (4.8 ha).

The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 8,800 floating solar panels of 60 cells (260W JA SOLAR, double glass modules). The total structure covers 48% of the water surface.

For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:

• Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform
• Design of the anchoring solution

Iwano Ike’s floating solar plant has been operational since March 2018 and generates green electricity to the local grid.
