MAIWALD: 749 kWp

Located in Germany, this 749 kWp floating solar plant is installed on a quarry lake with an area of 399,525 m² (40 ha).
The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 2,304 floating solar panels of 60 cells (325W SUNTECH standard modules). The total structure covers 2% of the water surface.
For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system and the anchorage. Our scope included:
- Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in France) and design of the floating platform
- Design, supply and installation of the anchoring solution
Anchored to the banks of the pond, the anchoring solution – using a parabolic mooring lines – has been designed to meet a maximum 59 m depth while dealing with a 2-m water level variation.
Maiwald’s floating solar plant has been operational since May 2019 and generates green electricity to the local grid.
