MIAMI AIRPORT: 157 KWP

Located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA, this 157 kWp floating solar plant is installed on a lagoon with an area of 112,700 m² (11.27 ha).

The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 419 floating solar panels of 72 cells (375W JA SOLAR modules). The total structure covers 1.7% of the water surface.

For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:

  • Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in the USA) and design of the floating platform

Anchored at the bottom of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum of 12 m depth and a water level variation inferior to 1 m.

MIA floating solar plant generates green electricity to the local grid.

Specificity here: The floating PV plant is integrated in an urban urea.
