MIRAFLORES: 24 kWp

Located next to the Canal de Panama, Panama, this 24 kWp floating solar pilot is installed on a water retention pond with an area of 144,040 m² (14 ha).
The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 96 floating solar panels of 60 cells (250W TRINA standard modules). The total structure covers 0.2% of the water surface.
For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:
- Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in South Korea) and design of the floating platform
- Design of the anchoring solution
Anchored at the bottom of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum 5.6 m depth while dealing with a 0.45-m water level variation.
Miraflores’ floating solar plant has been operational since February 2017 and generates green electricity to the local grid.
