MUSASHICHO FURU & SHIN IKE: 1,310 kWp

Musashicho Furu Ike – 807 kWp | Musashicho Shin Ike – 503 kWp

Located in Tenri, in Nara prefecture, Japan, this project is composed of 2 separate plants, each having respectively a capacity of 807 kWp and 503 kWp. The both floating PV power plants are installed on irrigation reservoirs and equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology. The full installation totalizes 3,748 floating solar panels of 72 cells (345W LONGI SOLAR standard modules).

For the entire project, Ciel & Terre operated as an IPP (Independent Power Producer) and project developer, supervising all the project development, and the engineering and construction of the floating PV structure and the anchorage. Our scope included:

  • Management of project development
  • Financing of the project
  • Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform
  • Design, supply and installation of the anchoring solution
  • Operation and maintenance of the farm

Musashicho Ike’s floating solar plants have been operational since November 2018 and generate green electricity to the local grid. This is the 10th project Ciel & Terre developed as an IPP in Japan.

  • Musashicho Furu Ike

With a capacity of 807 kWp, the total structure covers 55% of the pond’s water surface which the area is equal to 12,554 m² (1.2 ha). The floating platform is anchored on the bottom of the pond, and the anchoring system has been designed to meet a maximum 2.8 m depth while dealing with a 1.7-m water level variation.

  • Musashicho Shin Ike

With a capacity of 503 kWp, the total structure covers 55% of the pond’s water surface which the area is equal to 9,332 m² (0.9 ha). The floating platform is anchored on the bottom of the pond, and the anchoring system has been designed to meet a maximum 2.7 m depth while dealing with a 1.3-m water level variation.
