PONTECORVO: 343 kWp

Located in Italy, this 343 kWp floating solar plant is installed on an irrigation pond with an area of 8,800 m² (0.8 ha).

The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 1,320 floating solar panels of 60 cells (260W PEIMAR standard modules). The total structure covers 43% of the water surface.

For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:

• Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in France) and design of the floating platform
• Design of the anchoring solution

Anchored at the banks of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum 0.6 m depth and a same water level variation (0.6 m, as the pond can be affected by drought).

Pontecorvo’s floating solar plant has been operational since February 2017 and generates green electricity to the local grid.
