RENGEJI IKE: 300 kWp

Located in Fukuoka, in the prefecture of Fukuoka, Japan, this 300 kWp floating solar plant is installed on a water storage pond with an area of 7,900 m² (0.7 ha).

The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 1,200 floating solar panels of 60 cells (250W ZNSHINE standard modules). The total structure covers 44% of the water surface.

For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:

  • Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform
  • Design of the anchoring solution

Anchored at the bottom of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum 5.3 m depth and a same water level variation (5.3 m, as the pond can be affected by drought).

Rengeji Ike’s floating solar plant has been operational since July 2016 and generates green electricity to the local grid.
