SASAKUACHO SHITA & UE IKE: 1,259 kWp

Sasakuacho Shita – 665 kWp | Sasakuacho Ue – 594 kWp

Located in Kasai, in Hyogo prefecture, Japan, this project is composed of 2 separate plants, each having respectively a capacity of 665 kWp and 594 kWp. The both floating PV power plants are installed on irrigation reservoirs and equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology. The full installation totalizes 3,546 floating solar panels of 72 cells (355W AKCOME standard modules).

For the entire project, Ciel & Terre operated as an IPP (Independent Power Producer) and project developer, supervising all the project development, and the engineering and construction of the floating PV structure and the anchorage. Our scope included:

  • Management of project development
  • Financing of the project
  • Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform
  • Design, supply and installation of the anchoring solution
  • Operation and maintenance of the farm

Sasakuacho Ike’s floating solar plants have been operational since December 2018 and generate green electricity to the local grid. This is the 11th project Ciel & Terre developed as an IPP in Japan.
