SAYREVILLE: 4,403 kWp

Located in Middlesex County in New Jersey, USA, this 4,403 kWp floating solar construction is built on a water treatment reservoir (brackish water) with an area of 196,600 m² (19.66 ha). This plant is the largest in the country.
The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 3,792 floating solar panels of 72 cells (345W CSUN modules). The total structure covers 21% of the water surface.
For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:
- Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in the US) and design of the floating platform
- Design of the anchoring solution
Anchored at the banks of the pond, the anchoring solution also includes a parabolic mooring line. The system has been designed to meet a maximum depth of 4.1 m and a 0.9 m water level variation.
Sayreville floating solar installation has been operational since October 2019 and generates green electricity to the utility.
