SGTPP Raw Water Pond

Located in India / West Bengal, this 5,500 kWp floating solar construction is built on a Water storage reservoir with an area of 10.22 ha.
The platform is equipped with Equato version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 16,880 floating solar panels of 72 cells (320W BHEL standard modules). The total structure covers 51% of the water surface.
For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:
- Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in India)
- Design of the floating platform and anchoring solution
- Construction & Procurement
Anchored at the banks of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum 8 m depth and a 2m water level variation.
SGTPP Raw Water Pond’s floating solar installation has been operational since Q4 2020 and generates green electricity to the facility.
