SUNGAI LABU: 108 kWp

Located in the district of Sepang, Malaysia, this 108 kWp floating PV plant is installed on a water storage reservoir with an area of 42,000 m² (4.2 ha).

The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 432 floating solar panels of 60 cells (250W REC standard modules). The total structure covers 4% of the water surface.

For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included the supply of our Hydrelio® (manufactured in Japan) and the design of the floating platform.

Anchored at the bottom of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum 27 m depth while dealing with a 20-m water level variation.

Sungai Labu’s floating solar plant has been operational since November 2015 and generates green electricity to the local grid.
