TANO IKE: 2,548 kWp

Located in Tsu, in the prefecture of Mie, Japan, this 2,548 kWp floating solar plant installed on an irrigation pond with an area of 57,005 m² (5.7 ha).
The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 8,942 floating solar panels of 60 cells (285W JINKO standard modules). The total structure covers 44% of the water surface.
For this project, Ciel & Terre operated as an IPP (Independent Power Producer) and project developer, supervising all the project development, and the engineering and construction of the floating PV structure and the anchorage. Our scope included:
- Management of project development
- Financing of the project
- Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform
- Design, supply and installation of the anchoring solution
- Operation and maintenance of the farm
Tano Ike’s floating solar plant has been operational since January 2018 and generates green electricity to the local grid. This is the 5th project Ciel & Terre developed as an IPP in Japan.
