THOOTHUKUDI: 14,800 kWp

Located in India / Tamil Nadu / Thoothukudi, this 14,800 kWp floating solar plant is installed on a Water storage reservoir with an area of 15.6 ha.

The platform is equipped with the aiR 1280 version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 37,632 floating solar panels of 72-cell (JINKO modules). The total structure covers 71.31% of the water surface.

For this project, Ciel & Terre’s scope included:

• Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in India)
• Design of the floating platform and anchoring solution
• Construction & Procurement

Anchored at the bank of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum of 6 m depth and a water level variation of 3 m.

Thoothukudi’s floating solar installation has been operational since August 2020.
