TSUGA IKE: 2,449 kWp

Located in the prefecture of Mie, Japan, this 2,449 kWp floating solar plant is installed on an irrigation reservoir with an area of 92,100 m² (9 ha).
The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 9,072 floating solar panels of 60 cells (270W KYOCERA standard modules). The total structure covers 27% of the water surface.
For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:
- Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform
- Design of the anchoring solution
Anchored at the bottom of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum 7.2 m depth and a same water level variation (7.2 m, as the pond can be affected by drought).
Tsuga Ike’s floating solar plant has been operational since August 2016 and generates green electricity to the local grid.
