Located in Awa, in the prefecture of Tokushima, Japan, this 1,568 kWp floating solar plant installed on an irrigation reservoir with an area of 27,369 m² (2.7 ha).

The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 5,808 floating solar panels of 60 cells (270W KYOCERA standard modules). The total structure covers 45% of the water surface.

For this project, Ciel & Terre operated as an IPP (Independent Power Producer) and project developer, supervising all the project development, and the engineering and construction of the floating PV structure and the anchorage. Our scope included:

  • Management of project development
  • Financing of the project
  • Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform
  • Design, supply and installation of the anchoring solution
  • Operation and maintenance of the farm

Yukimine Ike’s floating solar plant has been operational since July 2017 and generates green electricity to the local grid. This is the 3rd project Ciel & Terre developed as an IPP in Japan.
