Ciel & Terre was founded in France, and after choosing to focus exclusively on floating photovoltaic panels we made the decision to keep our headquarters in the North of France. Gradually we extended our activity to the international market, opening doors for this groundbreaking technology all over the globe. We are now established in 10 countries: Japan, the US, UK, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, India and France, South Korea and Brazil, and present in 20 countries via our network of partners. We are proud to be developing our activity all over the world, setting up partnerships based on trust, transparency & our passion for sharing the best practices and knowledge of our mutual market.
As part of our philosophy, we set up local production in our target countries to minimize our carbon footprint, optimize project costs and favor local industries and employment. These are all principles and concerns to which we are very attached and are carried on through strategic partnerships. Our Hydrelio® technology is distributed worldwide and we currently operate manufacturing lines in France, Japan, China, Taiwan, the US, Thailand, India, South Korea and Brazil.

Our team is international and multicultural, just like our Hydrelio® product. This enables us to work in many countries around the world thanks to our expertise, the qualifications of each member involved in Ciel & Terre’s adventure, and the values and open-mindedness that unite us.
Ciel & Terre has more than 190 collaborators across the world sharing the same vision and values, with the objective to develop sustainable projects contributing to a better future. Mainly composed of engineers and business developers, experts in the floating photovoltaic panels, our team is engaged in providing our clients, a high-quality experience via our services and solutions. Confident that floating PV has an important place in the global transition, we are proudly building the energy systems of tomorrow.
French born-entrepreneur, Bernard has devoted himself entirely to the renewable energy industry since 2000. First, by developing wind turbine farms in France; then, from 2006 until now, building photovoltaic panels. He started on large-size rooftop systems and is now on to water reservoirs: the “floating solar” technology he created through Ciel & Terre. He now passed over the operational leadership to his partner, Alexis, in the organization.
Passionate about innovation and the renewable energy industry, Alexis continuously encourages innovative green thinking. After creating a rooftop PV system for high wind regions, his second contribution to solar referred to the floating system, Hydrelio®, that is behind the success of the company today. Alexis believes in the continuous improvement of the floating photovoltaic panels technology with the vision of reducing costs and producing more energy.
